Kent Speakers 2023

For many, speaking to a group of people is a frightening prospect. For some, just speaking on a one-to-one basis can be intimidating.

Kent Speakers, a public speaking club, affiliated to Toastmasters International, is a friendly, supportive and welcoming group, dedicated to helping each other develop our communication skills.

Following a structured learning program, in a ‘safe’ and 'fun' environment, each individual learns to overcome their fears, how to express their ideas and how to deal with the nervousness that we all feel when called upon to speak. Every meeting provides the opportunity to practice and every person is given constructive feedback.

Our club welcomes members and guests from all walks of life, from the businessperson who needs to improve their presentation skills for work, to those who simply wish to gain more confidence in their everyday lives.

It is therefore very suitable for the beginner, but also provides a great opportunity for the more experienced speaker to practice and to improve.

The club is most welcome to guests and visitors at all times with no pressure to participate if they do not wish to do so. Why not come along and find out for yourself.
